From 9 to 12 September 2018, Comau presents robotics applications in collaboration with Festo Didactic during the 22nd Edition of Brazilian Conference on Automation (CBA) at the Tambaú Hotel in João Pessoa, Brazil. The event connects professionals from the scientific and industrial automation communities to exchange information regarding automation and related technologies.
CBA is focused on automation applications, robotics, development of technologies, manufacturing systems, and more. It includes Comau’s approach to Industry 4.0, known as HUMANufacturing, which represents the company’s concept that nothing is more human than technology. In the same sense, Festo Didactic – a world-leading provider of equipment and solutions for technical education – has been helping companies build automated systems for more than 40 years.
At the conference, visitors will see an ‘automated station’ – a compact palletizing cycle – where Comau’s Racer 3 robot performs pick & place operations based on a pneumatic system with laser scanning, slides, and racking. All of the applications are integrated into a reduced footprint solution. Racer3 is built entirely of aluminum and magnesium weighing 30 kg, and features a maximum reach of 630 mm and a payload of 3 kg. In addition, the open-source, Industry 4.0-enabled “build-it-yourself” robot, e.DO, will be on display.
